Key events and milestones in the AgroTrain project
First Staff Development Training in The Netherlands
2026-07-20
The first staff development training programme is currently underway in Hengelo, The Netherlands. The training brings together 26 Ghanaian stakeholders drawn from the three(3) Ghanaian partner institutions. Thus, AAMUSTED, KNUST, and Agrigrowth. The training is scheduled for July 20 - 24, 2026. The training is spearheaded by all consortium partners of the AgroTrain project and is led by AgriWatch BV. The organization of the entire programme is carefully being executed by Dr. Ali Abkar. The sessions are being facilitated by Prof. Emeritus Nanno Mulder. The training programme is also supported by the local project coordinators from Ghana namely Prof. Yarhands Dissou Arthur, the local project coordinator, Prof. Alexander Kwarteng of KNUST, and Mr. Elison Owusu Fordjour of Agrigrowth.

Overall project management and coordination activities.
WP2: Networking and Project Requirements
Establishing networks, analyzing requirements, and developing training action plans.
WP3: AgroTrain Staff Development Training
Training of trainers, course development, and establishing AgroTrain centres.
WP4: Quality Assurance and Monitoring
Quality plan development, supervision of centres, quality assurance reporting, and external evaluation.
WP5: Dissemination and Sustainability
Project website development, dissemination planning, organizing events and workshops, and final meeting.
